We would have to amend the constitution and put a couple decades of effort into collecting the guns already out there. We're not willing to. Not even with five year old brains splattered all over kindergartens. So we live with it.

Surely not a physical representation of one's religious beliefs forcibly displayed on one's clothing, a ethnic and religious enclave carved out of the most dilapidated parts of the city where all members of the group must live, and severe restrictions on immigration to the point where the targeted group is cut-off from the outside world.

Because that would make someone a Nazi, and they sure are adamant about not being called Nazis.

Terrorism sucks. Go after the individuals who perpetrated it. Go after the financiers and recruiters and smugglers and propagandists and safe-house keepers. But let's not open the aperture too wide.

I think we all want a solution to terrorism, some of us just want to be sure that the solution isn't worse than the problem.

What are some of the ways that we can address and stop it? Aggressive penalties for those who are guilty is an obvious one (maybe we should start following that more).

Obviously, that's the only reasonable modus operandi but how's it working out?

Maybe we should strap bombs on their backs and blow them to pieces.

You said execution, not me. Force feed them with blindfolds in a dark room until they're 80, then just drop them into the ocean. We should hit up an Islamic cleric to find out if there's a statue of limitations on the 70 virgins thing.

Found guilty of radical Islamic terrorism? Your dick and balls are cut off. So much for incentive.

Seriously, these cowardly Islamic radicals enlist the dregs of the Islam society and convince them they are doing good with a glorious reward. How the **** do you combat that?

They have been trying to get this Snoopers Charter in for a while.

I wouldn't have made this suggestion before, but nothing's being done so, desperate times and all that?

Hate to think of innocents paying the price but I wonder, if someone perpetrates something of this nature, or is caught planning it, should their family, associates, friends - anyone who might have had some knowledge of the incident or been able to stop it, or worse, have aided in it - be arrested, or at least have their citizenship revoked and be deported? People can be quick to sign up to martyr themselves, but nine times out of ten ask a man to sacrifice his mother, sister, wife, brother, they may not be so keen.

I know, I know: it's harsh, it's unfair, it's disproportionate, but maybe the time for pussyfooting the **** around is gone? I mean, surely those close to these people have an idea, an inkling that something's going on? Jamal hasn't been home much, seeing those odd people, doesn't have a girlfriend, is moody and talking some pretty strong rhetoric, visiting the mosque when he used not to bother? Check his internet browser history?

Sure, snap at me and say it's too harsh, but compare it to those innocents killed, think of them as being someone you knew, and then see if you feel the same way.

Other than that, make bearing weapons legal and let everyone take out anyone who comes at them. Neither solutions are great, but what is actually going to be done? Anyone else any ideas?
