Fair comment - I did go into reading the Quran with an open mind but found it distinctly different from any other religious text I’d read. The context comes in part from the hadiths (accounts of Muhammad’s life) and I haven’t read any of those.

Stereotyping 1.6 billion Muslims = not racist

Quite a change from a self proclaimed paleo conservative who used to say the exact opposite a few years ago.

No it’s not. The nicest thing I’ve ever said about the English is they aren’t Scottish and that’s a fact.

But srsly I don’t get why conservatives don’t like Muslims, especially in the U.S. Statistically they have better than average educational attainment, lower rates of addiction, and lower incidences of violent crime. This isn’t out of the norm for paleos; see Rod Dreher.
