NFTs turned into membership tickets, at first people 'traded' them but just as you pointed out; someone needs to buy the NFT from you. Which is lame because at least with crypto you can sell and cash out anytime but with an NFT you need a buyer. But with NFTs now, once you own a cryptoon goon, you don't want to sell because you're then not a goon.

Was talking to MacNCheeasy this morning about an AI job, shocking it had nothing to do with crypto. So yeah looks like AI is the new new.

Mark Zuckerberg changed Facebook to Meta betting people would want a virtual house on virtual land but as Batlord pointed out; that vibe has come and flopped already.

Probably all AI will be good for in the near future is putting click bait writers out of a job.

This sounds like the Hitler AI admitting the Holocaust was unfortunate but minimizing his role in it. I'm on to you, Skynet.

Ads are targeted to the individual nowadays so that company thinks you'll buy Metaverse land. You're right though, the metaverse companies are still going strong but I agreed with Batlord because cryptocurrencies like Decentraland and Sandbox, those cryptos have had their 'hype pumps' and now dropped way down. And now all year long how Bitcoin and Ethereum have gone up in price, Decentraland and Sandbox haven't pumped up in price with Bitcoin. Decentraland is the currency you buy land and metaverse stuff with. Facebook/Meta has the best chance to expand on the metaverse but they'll need to create a Meta currency to buy virtual land and virtual stuff with. The main metaverse killer was that MANA(Decentraland) & SAND(Sandbox) were two different cryptos. There were too many metaverses and they weren't all connected into one larger metaverse. You either had MANA land or SAND land, and they didn't work together. You could own 6 houses in Decentraland but your friend owns 4 houses in Sandbox, just got confusing I think. If there was just ONE metaverse then things wouldn't have got confusing with multiple metaverses, that's why I think either Facebook will collab with Decentraland to use their crypto to buy virtual stuff with or Facebook comes out with a crypto and tries to end MANA and SAND.

Seemed like people just bought those metaverse cryptos for the pump and not for actual metaverse usage.

I'd say the problem with Decentraland is that virtual property has none of the value of real property, since you can't live on it, and so the only people who buy it are corporations with enough money to huck into a well on the chance that buying an ad in Decentraland will pay off eventually. Like, what the **** are you supposed to do with virtual property and why would anyone go there?
