I wanted to like his stand up cause I like his taste in comedy, but something about his delivery just puts me off.

When The Right gets behind something they seem to be absolutely uniform in that political conviction, probably to their benefit. Unless we're considering The Left to only be strident college aged Bernie socialists, I don't see the same level of purity.

What's the benefit of letting blue tie conservatives muddle the uniformity of the genuine left?

It doesn't look to me that the criticism is simply that he has someone like that on the show. It's that his tone legitimizes a range of pretty asinine ideas. Do anti-vaxxers or climate change deniers, for example, really deserve a seat at the table?
It's not a Milton Friedman like character that gets people bent out of shape.
