I buy the official story. The US and none of our allies wanted to bury him, Saudi Arabia was advised and approved of the burial at sea, and he was afforded all of the proper burial preparations per Islamic traditions.

Way too many people involved if they wanted something top secret.

Pretty sure a photo of the body was shown to the proper people. Making it public would have only provided recruiters with an awesome tool.

who all had to be involved beyond the seal team/military people?

And I don't think Osama's corpse would even be a drop in the bucket with regard to recruitment fodder. Every thing else we do that they hate us for and that's gonna be a game changer? Very doubtful.

I don't know what happened either way it just always seemed shady to me.

If this country had any balls at all we would have captured him alive and given him the Saddam treatment... A speedy trial followed by a hanging 2 weeks later. And let someone record it on their phone and post it on world star.
