Quote:
“Freedom House commends the bipartisan efforts of lawmakers in the US Congress to address the crisis in Hong Kong and offer Hong Kongers options in the face of oppression and persecution,” said Michael J. Abramowitz, president of Freedom House. “Two pieces of proposed legislation—the Hong Kong Safe Harbor Act and the Hong Kong Freedom and Choice Act—will be critical to mitigating the short- and long-term effects of this human rights crisis, while sending a strong message to Beijing that the United States will not simply abandon the people of Hong Kong. We call on Congress to swiftly pass both of these bills into law.”
Complete capitalism equals freedom horse****

America extends a helping hand of freedom to Hong Kong? You might as well try to sell me on the idea that Ted Bundy was a feminist.

I definitely believe that fasciscm is capitalism being scared of workers rising up into socialism. There's something more there about identity politics as product after capitalism has stripped the culture from a society but that's hard to pin down. In the first half of the 20th century it was real fear and that's why it was such an extreme reaction. Now capitalism is rightfully complacent about socialism and the left which is why its a much more subtle movement against the workers who very much realize that something is up that is writhing around them like a snake even if they can't recognize the feeling of scales after so long.

China doesn't make money through the barter system. They're Ted too.

Fine. But the idea of America providing “asylum” is disgusting exceptionalism.

I’m fine with open borders to any country but there’s no mercy from horrific government in the United States.

Mexico is keeping the border closed.

That basically just means that they're Republicans who smoked weed in college and have a gay friend that they rarely talk to.

Or they are left-leaning people who prefer Starbucks and convenience over a change in the economic status quo.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.
