Wasn't really giving Trump props. He's a billionare so 1 million would be like if I had $100 and gave you a dime.

Plus by exploiting rich people loopholes he hasn't paid taxes in years.

So why are you even bothering to praise anyone else when the only consistent thing to do would be to be cynical about everyone giving large sums of money.

Deplete your entire savings for Harvey or you're a piece of **** floating down a river about to hit a victim in the face.

Please explain the concept of "savings" to Batty.

Seriously, does anyone think/believe this is going to affect Texan votes for Trump in 2020?

Trump won Texas by 9% of the vote. But his current approval ratings there are in the mid 40s%.

Even now, as their cities drown? :yikes: I thought Texans were smarter than that.

Speaking as someone who actually lives in Texas, I'll just say that there's a much more diverse population here than people give credit for. Two of the largest population centers, Dallas and Austin, lean very liberal. Ft. Worth, Denton, Houston, etc. are more centrist or conservative, and the Mid Cities region where I live falls in the latter of these demographically.

I'm actually in the middle of something trying to raise money for the flood victims FYI. Wish me luck. :)

People have been predicting that Texas will eventually go blue but I don't see it happening. Too much of the state is rural/red. Here's the 2016 election results. Trump won the state by almost 1.7 million votes.
