I'm with Bat on this one. Though you and I've disagreed about this in the past - it's nothing new. America has problems, and these problems are many, but it's a country built on reform. I think, despite the inherent problems with our two-party system, that we can improve and we can fix our injustices, and we can reform police and fix education, for example.

If America falls, you'll just have another country fill its role of imperialism and world-policing (probably China).

I do not in fact think that. I think that America is a country built on wealthy landowners ruling everyone else. I think this because voting was initially restricted to landowners which is a pretty obvious signal that our modern idea of "American freedom" is in fact not what the country was actually founded upon and the current domination of wealthy elites and corporations suggests that nothing ever changed other than our naive expectations.

No. I really don’t. Even though they’re both horribly off course having a foundation in Marxism, no matter how flawed, they do not believe that necro-capitalism is a force for good. They can be reformed because their DNA contains hope and economic justice. America’s foundation is colonization theft kidnapping slavery and genocide. America has nothing positive to work with.

I mean, sure, that's one way to look at it. But we broke off from Great Britain in an effort to reform ourselves, didn't we? We didn't want to be tied to their whim. And this voting restriction, as you pointed out, was "initial", we've since reformed and corrected for those restrictions.

I will grant that wealthy elites and corporations have much more power, especially in regards to lobbying, than they should. They're not looking out for anyone's interests but their own (and their shareholders).
