John McCain Brain Cancer

Partisanship aside - sad news.

Obama's tweet today: (McCain spent an entire presidential campaign trying to drag Obama down.)

“John McCain is an American hero & one of the bravest fighters I’ve ever known.
Cancer doesn’t know what it’s up against. Give it hell, John,”

Sad to say but this explains his performance in the Comey hearings.

That's what I thought too.

Chula Vista 07-19-2017 10:28 PM

Yup.

Always thought he was an admirable, top notch guy despite not liking him for president. Very sad news, and fwiw I wish him all the best.

djchameleon 07-20-2017 07:17 AM

Sad news but it does make sense.

OccultHawk 07-20-2017 07:39 AM

I hate that kind of sappy bull**** "cancer doesn't know what it's up against"

He's 80 years old and has glioblastoma.

It's true though. Cancer doesn't know anything.

Agreed. Cancer causes abnormal cell group stemming from groups of diseases. Cognitive thought doesn't enter the equation.

"Cancer doesn't know what it's up against."

Fair observation.

Silly people.

In all seriousness, brain cancer is a large bitch among bitches. Saw it happen to a family member and it wasn't pretty. I wish him the best.

Chula Vista 07-20-2017 09:18 AM

Look up the word "encouragement".

Plankton 07-20-2017 09:39 AM

I watched my GF and her sister go through the gut wrenching process of chemo. Having cancer and being depressed will kill you more times than having cancer with a good attitude. Any family, friends, or who ever it may be that has enough integrity to help keep your spirits up in any possible way while you face death squarely in the face is a blessing.

Chula Vista 07-20-2017 10:03 AM

Amen.

I didn't realize McCain was a lurker.

OccultHawk 07-20-2017 12:22 PM

That kind of encouragement that's rooted in absolute fantasy makes me feel worse. That's a soundbite with no sincerity at all.

Frownland 07-20-2017 12:27 PM

So has he resigned from his seat yet?

It killed my grandmother who played a large role in raising me.

I heard a couple times about miracles and beating it I was like shut the **** up with that. Spoiler alert: It killed her.

Then it's "well she moved on. She's in a better place. "

Uh, no. She's dead. She didn't buy a beach house.

They'll probably just embalm him and keep him in there like they did with Strom
Thurman.

Lucem Ferre 07-20-2017 12:43 PM

Isn't there statistics showing a link between some ones mood and their immune system?

There's nothing wrong with hope. Hope is easy as ****. If you are too lazy to hope then you are a lazy mother ****er.

Frownland 07-20-2017 12:48 PM

John'll be fine, he has excellent health care.

Hope is easy? Lack of hope is lazy?

Good lord.......

And encouragement from others is bad why???

Here's a statistic: Every hopeful person born over 116 years ago is dead. The most hopeful person alive in 1900 is dead. Keep hope alive! Oops.

On a scale of one to ten, how difficult is it to say "you'll pull through, Johnny boy!"?

My condolences about your Grandmother. I can understand how a person can get angry about cancer though.

It was ages ago. I guess people are going to feel how they're going to feel. I understood there was no hope so that was that.

Bro, have you seen insurance rates for beach houses? That is not a better place.

OccultHawk 07-20-2017 01:37 PM

I guess they think she rents.

Moral of the story, everyone sucks and the world will be a better place when we all drop dead. You first bat.

Throw in a little prayer for Scalise while you're at it.

So many children members of this board who simply refuse to graduate to being adults. The **** I pulled out of my cat's litter box this morning makes a bunch of you look ugly.

I get it. Music Banter is a sarcasm-fest. But certain threads should be respected.

Respect = Adult

OK, now I get it.

Wpnfire 07-20-2017 02:46 PM

Maybe he'll rethink taking healthcare away from the elderly now.

(nope)

How the **** am I the first person to say that in this thread?

Trollheart 07-20-2017 02:56 PM

Thanks, Obama.
