I think extreme excess in the face of poverty is immoral. Like people that collect extremely expensive, basically useless cars AND maintain them. Just being rich, though, no I don't think that makes somebody immoral. Neither do I find it immoral to indulge in yourself with things that bring a lot of enjoyment.
Somebody understands what i was saying. Thank god.

confusing

it's ok to be rich as long as you don't own useless cars AND maintain them?

So tell me elph, how much of an American homeless persons money should be donated to charity? Even our homeless live like kings based on OHs picture comparison.

considering their only money is donations to begin with, presumably they don't have any money to give

I also don't agree that necessarily all our homeless live like kings in comparison to poverty in developing countries

that really depends on the area's infrastructure, being homeless in Flint or even in my favorite city Austin recently could mean not even having access to clean drinking water

Just trying to figure out where you draw the financial line on being free of moral responsibility for others suffering

any money not spent on direct necessities when the world's needs are not covered is a crime

you won't see me giving myself lashes over the laptop I'm typing on, I'm just pointing out what should be pretty obvious

more just my guess, but I don't think these material things lead to a happy fulfilled population anyway though we can't imagine life without them

we see developed countries struggling with mass isolation, loneliness, depression, detachment

on some level I believe we feel how we are so far removed from our humanity
