There's this guy who keeps telling me that The Fall is the best band ever but I know that that's just propaganda and I'm not gonna get tricked. That's how I know they suck.

Any tract that is expressly designed to instill you with a given ideology is propaganda.

But the more biased and one sided, the more it serves as propaganda

Clearly you were under the rather naive assumption that propaganda is an inherently negative thing
