It’s still pretty mind blowing he got away with that. That was a transitional moment in American history.

I remember in 2008 thinking it was real sort of novelty and source of entertainment to watch Ron Paul go on his old man rants about how America's foreign policy is harmful on the stage of the Republican primary debates and the wild outraged reactions that would draw.

Little did I know in less than a decade we'd have a guy dissing POWs and accusing his opponent's dad of possibly being involved in the Kennedy assassination.

I personally find a shotgun in the mouth mind blowing.

[Insert Westside Gunn adlibs.]

He really peaked in 16. "I like the ones who don't get caught." That was peak Trump.

You might be right. Jeb Bush was a much more fun punching bag than Joe Biden though. When Trump would call him "low-energy" or a "complete mess", everyone could laugh.

If he's too much of a bully to Joe, people will likely be sympathetic to Joe.

He got in some good digs at Hillary too.

HRC: "It's an awfully good thing that someone with the temperament of Donald Trump is not in charge of the law in our country"
DJT: "Because you'd be in jail".

He shouldn't have attacked McCain for being a POW, he should've attacked him for being a war-hawk, an old man perpetually scheming up wars for young men to die in.

Bernie Sanders vs. Ron Paul would actually be a worthwhile debate.

They'd probably just repeat their talking points to each other. They're too far apart economically to have a meaningful exchange imo. A presidential debate is no place to get into the weeds. It's about slogans and theatrics.

I didn't specifically mean a presidential debate - I was thinking something similar to what Sanders/Cruz did. You might be right in that there wouldn't be a meaningful exchange on economics - I suppose it depends how they structure the debate.

But what they agree on might be illuminating.

Passengers cheer as ‘Karen’ is kicked off flight for refusing to wear mask

I find it difficult to believe that people are willingly getting on airplanes.

“It’s 9/11 for someone on every flight!”

Good thing America invested billions in TSA. Gotta stay safe.

Not that it isn't logical to be scared of crowds right now but you are kind of a hypochondriac as far as I can tell.

I think there’s still a lot of denial about this virus even on here. Multiple infections and no vaccine are both very likely. Think ten years ahead about that. How many times do people think they can survive it? We’re only a few months in. Ain’t nobody know, I’ll still admit that but I’ve yet to hear a really honest discussion about the fading immunity and how staggeringly ****ing bad that is. Right now it’s like people are like oh no I might get punched by Mike Tyson when he’s sitting in the other corner. You get in the ring with Tyson he’s going to punch you as many times as it takes. Do I want to be last in line to fight Tyson? You betcha.

The Batlord 07-26-2020 06:29 AM

All of that is true but you still sound like a hypochondriac
