I will say that Hillary Clinton is more likeable than Ted Cruz.

Because we're talking about Hillary Clinton and I'm giving you a reason why she should be hung from a street lamp.

A big part of why she's so hated is also because of her association with Bill. There's been a 30+ year Republican propaganda campaign against the Clintons and Hillary played a very active role when he was president. She did a lot of shady and corrupt **** including pressuring victims of sexual assault to stay quiet.

Unlike Bill though she has no charisma to counter act against this legacy. And it's not cause she's a woman it's cause she's an empty suit. There's nothing genuine about her.

But to the same extent her sex can fuel hatred and her legacy with Bill can fuel hatred, she wouldn't be where she is in the first place without these factors. So you reap the benefits and you also reap the consequences. That's life. You don't get something for nothing.

As for AOC being sexy sure that might help but Palin is kinda a milf and I still find her unlikable. Omar isn't that hot and she's more likable than Palin. So is Warren, though I like her less due to how she handled this recent campaign for prez and basically double crossed Bernie.

At the end of day, Hillary is unlikable and just happens to be a woman. That's all it is. It's just like Ted Cruz. He's a slimey, phony guy that just rubs people the wrong way. He also happens to be Hispanic. That's not why he's disliked but he could just as easily play the race card and turn himself into the victim the way Hillary does with sex.

I agree with part of this, but I do think that besides the lack of charisma her being a woman does play a role. There's probably no way to argue that further without repeating ourselves. I do think the Hispanic comparison isn't valid though; people feel differently about a powerful Hispanic person than a powerful woman, maybe because of family structures or something.

About AOC, like I said it's not just about being hot, it's about avoiding the powerful woman = witch imago in a more general way. Also whether you specifically like these women or not may not be entirely representative. At least, I credit you with better judgement about such things than the average person, however you may feel about women

seeing a black man in power over the country seemed more far fetched than a white woman in 2008 yet Obama beat Hillary. Why?

The Batlord 12-19-2020 03:45 PM

I don't think it's fair to call Ted Cruz Hispanic. That man has powerful white settler colonial energy.

jwb 12-19-2020 03:47 PM

 yeah cause Hispanics never colonised nothing. Shaddap hay seed.

Because he's more likeable, of course I agree with that. It's definitely more far-fetched for a black person to be powerful than a woman, but it doesn't have the same stigma of unlikeability. I'm not claiming Hillary is more unlikeable than Obama just because she's a woman though, just that I think it contributes
