Sounds like lazy egotism tbh.

I don't even think he's joking

I think he's posturing in favor of an actual position he doesn't quite know how to defend rhetorically. He was just hoping he could brow beat the opposition into submission.

Agreed.

I have a friend who lives in South Korea. **** there is so ****ing cheep. You could get a really decent apartment for the price of a **** apartment. And they have been open since May because they took the virus seriously.

The ****ed up part is when he says capitalist ****hole he's describing every first world nation on the planet aka all the best places to live

People there literally drop dead from working 80+ hours cause you're culturally expected to work overtime. I foeget what the condition is called but there's an actual name in South Korea for literally dying from over work and companies have been successfully sued over it.

I'd be interested in seeing that tbh

Here in Germany we made good experiences with a division of the country.

If it was such a "good experience" then:
  1. why did people escape the DDR?
  2. why did they tear down that wall?
  3. why did East and West reunited?

That was just round 1.

Honestly I do think it would make some sense to break America into different countries if it could be done peacefully... Politically we don't see eye to eye on so much I don't know why the heartland and the coasts wouldn't be mutually glad to part ways... But then you get the problem of nation states squared off against each other geopolitically instead of one massive hegemon with a world wide empire. That's the real reason we stick together. It's not for the sake of domestic politics. We just don't wanna give up the juice.

...plus, of course the inevitable fight over the possession of cities like Detroit:-
"You have it."
"No, you take it!"
