The Pennsylvania GOP asked the Supreme Court for an emergency order after it was unable to get at least 25 of the county boards to confirm they were already doing that, and Alito agreed.
Chip chip chip

Riddle me this? Did this go through lower courts first? Is this not the Supreme Court saying yes we can be a monitoring force in this “election” process

Is Kavanaugh not a Trump parrot?

Did we not just hear Amy Coney Barrett refuse to say she wouldn’t rule on election fraud issues?

Are the final states not being called because the media outlets know that the electors do not by law necessarily have to give all their votes to the winner? I don’t know the law for each state but it’s a tradition not a law. And even if it’s a law will it be held up as constitutional with this court? If enough electors hold back to keep Biden under 270 where does it go? The Supreme Court.

There’s so many ****ing ways Trump can get to the courts.

And he has until Jan 20.

Think about it. This court does NOT want to be expanded. They are obsessed with overturning Roe V Wade.

Let's see if they actually do a real stimulus package now. If not, you might as well have kept the God-Emperor.

Yep, it's a good day, as Key and Van Jones both point out. :thumb:

Susan Rice: "I am full of joy", which surprisingly is how I feel. Even though it's not my country, I don't think I've ever felt so caught up in an election.

As for being over, it isn't over until we know how the balance of power in the Senate works out. As Obama discovered, that's what decides what you can achieve or not achieve.

https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/image.../orangeyes.gif McConnell's re-election was the biggest Democratic Party loss, inevitable as it seemed.

True. Even though I would point out Obama had both branches of Congress for the first two years and did nothing with them, the fact that they don't control Congress pretty much neuters the Biden adminstration for the next two years.

OccultHawk 11-07-2020 04:57 PM

I get the feeling that Biden still kinda views politics in old school terms where he can shmooze and scratch backs and come up with a deal with Republicans but he's about to get a very rude awakening when he finds out ol' Mitch doesn't give a **** about his backroom dealings anymore.

Biden’s white though. It might be more palatable to Kentuckians.

Plus Biden is still going to be able to replace all the new fools at the EPA and CDC and NOAA and on and on. And if dies we’ll get Harris not Pence.

And Georgia has two senate runoffs. And I’m feeling a big pro-choice let’s expand the court turnout at the midterms.

There’s no way to twist this into not being a huge improvement over what’s his ****ing name. I know you’re not saying otherwise just saying.

Florida voted to raise the minimum wage to $15 btw. Takes a few years to go into
affect though.

The Batlord 11-07-2020 05:54 PM

I mean yeah this is better than four more years of Trump but it's back to the same normal that birthed Trump in the first place.
