to what extent do you think him stirring up the hornets nest is actually going to undermine capitalism

Cause it sounds to me like you are just going on image and posturing

It's boring and milk toast to support a Democrat like Biden

I'd be interested in hearing an actual argument for why he's somehow helping perpetuate capitalism more than Trump.

Thank you Cuban population of Miami Dade and their goddamn stupid obsession with who hates Castro the most. They hate Castro so they vote for the most autocratic president in modern history. Ignorant stupid ****s.

South Florida always goes to the Democrats lol... It's your part of the state that is full of red voters

I mean it's OH's point that I'm seeing the merits of so I'm not married to it but I'd say that Trump's ineffectual leadership tends to overexpose issues with capitalism. Like, him sucking at the pandemic and basically being an austerity hawk probably makes single payer healthcare a much more desirable concept when if it had been handled by a more "responsible" centrist who didn't scare the **** out of everyone and make them feel even more vulnerable to medical and financial disaster than they already do then they might very well be more susceptible to the idea that we shouldn't rock the boat and overhaul our medical and insurance system.

jwb 11-03-2020 06:35 PM

So the idea is the worse Trump is the better off we are cause it makes capitalism look bad? How do you distinguish that from just succumbing to all out fascism? What makes you think that won't just be the end destination instead if a stone on the stepping path?

Sooo....how quickly before the corporatist Dems blame Bernie for the loss in Florida (specifically, Miami Dade)?

They already started that strategy before the election even happened. Even though Dade county is probably the most blue district in the entire state.

The Cuban vote in Miami is completely overrated in terms of the state wide vote. And even Cubans don't vote as a block the same way say black people do.. they just vote more Republican than other Latinos.

According to ABC, Trump is leading the popular vote by about 400,000.
