Trump's coup failed – but US democracy has been given a scare

It’s still about the Supreme Court

Sorry, Neapolitan, this is again from CNN, but stuck out to me in an article about Biden's cabinet picks:
Imagine thinking that either Obama or Biden pick great people with zero conflicts of interest.

A Pennsylvania state court issued an injunction Wednesday blocking any potential further certification of election results in the state, pending a hearing to be held Friday.

The order from Judge Patricia McCullough comes in the case brought by Pennsylvania voters including Rep. Mike Kelly, R-Pa., in which they allege that a state law allowing for no-excuse absentee voting violated the Pennsylvania constitution, which outlines specific cases where absentee voting is allowed.
Mmmmhmm

I don't think any observer of US politics is naive enough to imagine "zero conflicts of interest."

i) Biden, unlike Trump, has not been bragging about getting great people; he's just doing his job of appointing experts.
ii) Trump's much-lauded "best people" turned out to be Turkish agent/ perjurer Flynn, racist sociopath Miller, corrupt (and corrupting) sycophant Barr, unqualified beneficiaries of nepotism, Mr &Mrs Kutchener, etc etc.

To use a phrase passed around in the early days of the Trump admin, John Kelly was praised as "being the adult in the room". At least with Biden, not only will we have an adult in the room, there'll be an adult in every room.

* blatant liars Spice, Huckleberry-Sanders and the new girl; conspiracy wackjob Bannon; craven, mercenary coward J Bolton, and Scaramooch, who was in-and-out so fast through the WhiteHouse´s revolving door of charlatans that I never had time to come up with an insult for him. Perhaps I'll just go with short-lived charlatan, and hold him up as the epitome of Trump's disastrous hiring choices.

Is the 2021 Georgia run off considered part of the 2020 election? If not I'm over this.

They love the Mooch over at MSNBC and some of the other networks though. He's on like every other day.
