What kind of dumb nonsense is that. Merit's act was hateful and belligerent; Nea may be incomprehensible sometimes and have opinions I don't agree with, but he's amiable and fun. In my experience he has always been kind. The difference is very clear.

That little zinger in bold comes direct from Trump, I believe. Like many Trump ideas, it's short, easy to grasp, but not true. Little wonder that Trump's preferred method of communicating is the tweet: the perfect format given Trump's struggles to understand complex ideas or even form complex sentences. He is, instead, the master of the nick-name, the slur, the chant, the accusation with little evidence.

Instead of the over-simple "staying in his basement", I'd like to propose a fuller, "fixed that for you" description:

"... for conducting an election campaign that was considerate of other people's health and showed an ability to respond to new realities as they arose: commendable qualities in a President, which is perhaps why, even though his electioneering was limited, Biden stomped on Trump with a seven-million popular-vote majority, despite Trump's frenetic super-spreader rallying and desperate travel agenda which hospitalised a slew of the unlucky agents whose job it was to protect him. To America's credit they voted for the guy whose astute, measured campaign was more effective than all of Trump's exhausting, misguided bluster."
