I couldn't tell you but I'd assume those people don't have any interest in being the foot soldiers for Islamic extremism but really love the idea of having a lot of fun being warlords just like rich European colonialists who love the idea of galavanting around Africa being "explorers" or starting coups as a hobby.

There were studies that showed that on average ISIS recruits from the middle east were richer and more educated than the average citizen in their country of origin. There's tons of Saudi millionaires who are funding the spread of the whole wahhabi message and islamist groups and madrasssas around the world.

Yes. Congress are the real imperialists. The people who raided congress are the wannabe imperialists just chomping at the bit to take their jobs and do the exact same thing.

It's baffling beyond belief that some people don't see how they all want the same thing and don't care who has to die for them to get it.

He's right though about allies... Stalin and the US/Uk had nothing in common other than a common enemy. Regardless of who was in control of the USSR, the allies could've easily lost without help from Russia. So that alliance made perfect sense despite the antagonism between them. That's not a what if.. that's what happened.

Stalin didn't defeat Hitler, the cruel bitch of a Russian winter did

1) it was Stalin so that’s that
2) not being able to Start Up the Panzers was a disaster for the Nazis but it didn’t end the war

I thought the whole point behind his post was sometimes you have allies you don't agree with

But to play devil's advocate on the Stalin thing... Hitler very nearly conquered Russia. There were a few variables that cost him the victory on the eastern front that are directly tied to stalin.

1) he moved the entire western population eastward. Burned crops, blew up bridges/dams.. total scorched earth warfare.
2) the 5 year plan which rapidly industrialized Russia and turned them into a nation wide arms factory.
