^ Imagine Trump doing some time in prison and then being pardoned by Biden on his way out the door in a few years.

Or Biden croaking while still serving his term as President and Harris becoming President and pardoning Trump before she leaves.

I don’t think the president can pardon state crimes. It would have to be the gubnor.

Yeah, you're right. It would have to be a federal crime for the President to be able to issue a pardon.
