Jesus Christ y’all love to be outraged lol. I, like jwb, will not be getting the vaccine until it has been rolled out enough to the point there are no shortages and the most vulnerable populations have the opportunity to be vaccinated first and it’s as commonplace as a flu shot, at which point, like the flu shot, I’ll probably opt out. As such, I too am relying on herd immunity as a free rider. I’m young and healthy and can rely on my immune system and hygiene practices to keep from carrying and transmitting the virus.

Call me a pussy, call me pathetic, tell me I’ll kill my mother. Or do I get a pass for having tits? When are you getting yours Charles? Surely your BMI categorizes you as morbidly obese and thus prioritizes your fat ass?

Yeah I'm surprised at you Steph. Christ in a speedboat heading down the Thames being pursued by the cops at full speed! Do you not worry about who you might infect? You could have it now, and not know it. I could have it now, and not know it, which is why a) I'm staying indoors and b) as soon as I can I'll be getting the shot. The level of selfishness and stubborn stupidity emerging here is almost frightening. Think of someone else besides yourself.

People thinking they're not included in the herd undermines the herd immunity that we don't achieve for flu, which ends up killing many per year.

There will never be immunity against the flu. There will never be immunity against a virus when the nature of a virus is to evolve. By the time it makes sense for me to get a shot I’ll bet you it won’t protect against whatever new strain is being spread now.

I volunteer through my work to vaccinate the community, literally setting up pop-up clinics and distributing the vaccine.. I believe in science and understand how vaccines work, I also understand how displaced anger and groupthink works.. Go stroke your self righteous boners elsewhere and out of my face pls.
