I understand that he doesn't like Biden, hell, a lot of Americans don't - but if you can't give credit to a president/administration of a party that you don't vote for when they get something right, then you belong at the kids table. Even party-line conservatives should be in favor of the CHIPS act.
Yep, this sounds like a no-brainer, good for the US bill - or so I thought, until I heard a critic say that in the bill there is no checking mechanism about the chip companies (i) increasing production or (ii) increasing jobs in the US. Suddenly, what should be a win is starting to sound like an ill-considered give-away of tax-payers' money, the way those covid-relief billions were.
