Soulflower is psycho. Seriously, she takes opposing opinions really personally and attacks you for trying to debate with her. That's the point for **** sake, it's a debate! I never said you can't have your own opinion but you need to realise that opinions are just that, opinions, not facts.

I just find it annoying that she's far more concerned with winning a debate and showing her superiority, no matter how convoluted her argument becomes, than actually saying anything. She literally says "Gotcha!" when she thinks she's winning.

I don't think it is about winning. She is just expressing her opinions no matter how unpopular they are. I get her. We are opinionated kindred spirits.

I also get her, and like her very much...She is a total sweetheart.

Soulflower gets too much hate around here. The whole racism thing gets a bit old after a while but other than that at least she's offering opinions and backing them up even if I don't always agree with them.

At least she's not here to post stupid gifs, leave dumb off topic posts or bore people senseless about her alcohol/drug intake or her sex life

I've argued with her more than anyone recently and didn't feel offended by her opinion. I like that I can go back and fourth with someone in a friendly fashion and no one stoops to name calling or insulting.

The only people that are ever complete twats on here anymore are realtalk/soulflower/whatever we're gonna call her and ladyislingering, so i guess it's cool that we're down to just 2 insufferable members...which might be an all-time low here. Keep up the good work, community

I get annoyed by post in the music forums that add up to nothing more than gibberish and self opinionated theories without any real content to support their position. It can actually prove to be more irritating than it is simply just annoying at times. Most are just attention seekers trying to convince themselves and MB members of their extensive vast knowledge by attacking and always trying to discredit a particular band in question simply because they may not like them personally.
At the least have the courtesy to add constructive criticism to the subject.

LiLs has always been pretty damn cool to me, not sure why anyone would think she's a twat she's pretty great imo.

I don't entirely agree with everything I've seen from her(?) but SoulFlower seems equally opinionated as she is respectful of other people's opinions. That whole NM thread is a mess of drama I didn't even wanna bother with but it seems like more than a few people take issue with her stating her views there.

LiL has been very nice to me so far, I don't dislike anyone here atm. I feel most people are actually respectful and decent if you can get past some friendly digs at each other.

Where was the drama? Do you consider any sort of debate with strong opinions drama? Idk if this was directed at me or someone else but if it was towards the discussion Soulflower and I were having I think you are way off base.

I know Vanilla got a little upset but it was all of what, two posts? I wouldn't call that a mess of drama.

I think that might be the underlining reason behind all forms of communication, you know being starved for attention, not only facebook but also forums and other social-media, and irl communications with real live people who are able to give you their attention because they not too busy being distracted from using cell-phones and stuff like that. I mean it could very well be the reason you post on MB is because you are starved for attention, as well as everyone one else here.

Actually I think most people post on here because they like music and they especially like talking about it. Good try though, I guess. You'll certainly never be getting my facebook, that's for damn sure.

I agree with this. It's not her different opinion that I have the problem with, it's how desperate she is to prove you wrong when there's no need for the aggro. I think it's great that we have more people contributing to musical discussion but I am merely stating my frustration at her intensity. I'm sure it's something I'll just get over, but I just felt like sharing it. I see I'm not the only one. :)

But there are different reasons why some people don't/won't share facebook profile page. They can be more cautious about people out there phishing for personal info or just want to remain anonymous, not because they don't want to appear as being "starved for attention." I think people who use it have various different reasons, and "starved for attention" doesn't have to be the under-pinning reason.

It's really pitiful that you're defending this. There is absolutely no other logical reason anyone would have their Facebook in their signature on a forum. If you want to be FB friends with people on here, send the link to those members in a PM instead of making it so anyone can go look. It's objectively stupid, I don't really see how else it can be viewed. I guess I shouldn't judge someone for having such severe issues that you want anyone that visits this site to be able to check out your entire personal life, but I don't want any part of it.

If I wasn't absolutely ashamed of all the frienemies I have made here, I think I might advertise MB on facebook. But because MB has the sorta people I encounter here that are hard to take, I don't. I think I like the separation of MB people and irl people and my facebook people who are mostly irl people I don't get to see irl. So I don't think the opposite of advertising facebook on MB so different from the thought of advertising MB on facebook.

I think there is idea of incorporating and linking all your (meaning anybody's) social media together. I think maybe by degree it seems more acceptable, and not so strange to do. Maybe at one time it wasn't deem as the more reasonable thing to do, but as people get more acclimated with social media it seems like the natural thing to do.

I think your theory is more a far stretch that it is systematic of "attention starvation."
