No, because you're a tree and we need trees

Oh that'd really suit you. wouldn't it? Return the planet to the trees. How selfish! We NEED your people to make our paper so that we can manufacture our magazines and read about our favourite celebrities! How else do you think we're going to know who's hot and who's not, and who's dumping who for who? Honestly! The self--centredness of some people!

I recently interviewed a tree and he told me all the trees in the forest fight over who's going to become a celebrity magazine after a lumberjack cuts them down. A lot of male trees want to become hard core porno books after they're cut down while lady trees want to be Vogue magazine or a romance novel.

Hmm... I thought the Maples wanted more sunlight, but the Oaks ignore their plea's. Your makes more sense.

Maples are always screaming for more sunlight. They start clacking their limbs together in an eerie dirge rhythm whenever there's a cloud cover in the forest.

Let's face the facts, people: maple trees are solar gluttons who would kill to spend a few hours basking in the sun. Oaks are basically right... "If those goddam maples want more sunlight they should go to a tanning parlor."

Willow trees don't give a sh*t about sunlight because they're too busy sucking up all the ground water while all the other trees are saying "Whadda I have to do to get a drink around this joint?"

The most horrifying event of my life was being stalked by walking tree on the Mojave Desert. My friends all thought I was on acid, until I showed them the cellphone picture I took of the angry tree chasing me.

Angry Tree:"Get in the car, Gavin B... I'm taking you for a little ride."

I would just like to take a moment to talk about two of the most influential members on this forum. Every post of theirs is carefully crafted to spur intellectual advancement in everyone around them. They articulate with a gracefulness that sweeps me off my feet every time I read their words. They are humble and gracious; understanding and kind. I do my best to live up to the standard they are setting for this forum, but sometimes I feel inadequate in comparison. They are knowledgeable on all topics, but willing to learn more. They are model members of society and of this forum and we should all seek to follow in their footsteps.

I am of course, talking about butthead aka 216 and realtalk92.

butthead aka 216 01-31-2014 07:41 AM

thanks man

Trollheart is a bit like that weird uncle everyone has. He does a lot for the family and he always buys you good Christmas presents and that's the only reason you tolerate the dad jokes, the sexual comments and the lectures about right and wrong.

Isbjørn 01-31-2014 09:59 AM

Haha that's so true

So this is how you all see me eh? Interesting....

Incidentally, did James mistype "bad jokes" or is he actually referring to "dad jokes"? If the latter I don't think I've made any, other than to refer to my advancing age which is nothing I can do anything about. Sexual comments? I'm surely not the only one to make them and they're almost always in joke form and as for lectures about right and wrong, when did I ever lecture? I have a strong sense of right and wrong yes, and if someone is doing or saying something I believe to be wrong I will challenge them on it. That's just how I am.

Waits for DJ to turn up with a list of examples...

And now, back to the Christmas presents list for 2014. Think James definitely needs a saddle for that dragon, polish for the gravestone on ZK's grave, the cutest pet kitten in the world for Vanilla, trip to the Doctor Who studios for Urban...

No, he meant to say dad jokes. See here for clarification..

Urban Dictionary: Dad Joke
Urban Dictionary: Dads Joke

As for the rest, you don't need to defend yourself, weird uncle, we've come to accept it. But James is spot on.
