Does anyone else think Engine has an open wound in his urethra or does that charm only come out when he speaks to me?

I think you're just a little cranky from all that sand in your vag, actually.

Um... what the fuck?
My urethra is perfectly healthy and I don't even remember the last time I addressed you. It certainly wasn't anytime recently.
But now I'm curious, do you see me talking to others as if I have a damaged pisstube?

Oops. I see that I may have insulted you yesterday at 12:27 am :o:
Still, I'm not sorry.

I got that vibe as well, mainly sensing passive-aggressiveness. I haven't been on many forums but it would make sense that it would be a typical thing on any forum for new members.

You seem cool though. I voted you as most enigmatic because you always posted those amazing paintings but not much else. Glad to see you've stuck around and expanded into other areas.

While this forum has a lot of members, I think their are a relatively small group that consistently post and are active in things making it feel that way.

Im a member at TDPRI a telecaster guitar forum and their is so many active members you really never actually get to know that many people posting.

Look at my friends list! I have talked quite a bit with Skajey-wajey on MuMu, and I've grown to understand a bit more about him.

The Mighty Salami is probably my favourite member. I have yet to read a post from him that I have not enjoyed.

Just for the record I honestly have no problems with anyone here so far. You all seem pretty decent to me!

Thanks dude. I do love Styx. Not the river so much, but, the band is one of my all-time favorites:)

I do have a question, as I see you might be from London.

What is the deal with the Cockney Rhyming Slang? I read about it, and, got completely lost:) Stairs for example. It becomes 'apples and pears', and then you remove 'the pears', and, stairs becomes apples. Why remove the pears, when pears rhymes with stairs, not apples? Or, is that the point of the concept?

I have to go up the apples, the dog is ringing, and it's probably my trouble:)

Did I get that right? Just curious. It is interesting, but, quite confusing I must say.

thanks mate. I appreciate the comment.

Marilyn Monroe is so much sexier. She's one of my woman crushes.

Salami brightens up alot of topics for me personally.

I like him too, I thought he was a good addition to the cast of character on MB. But sometimes I get the feeling there are some hear who don't like him, reading there responses I get the impression that they (if they met him in irl) would like to slap the Mighty Salami.

Yer I'm from London, but like you and most other Londoners I'm pretty much in the dark with the cockney lingo! Its mostly just used in a small area of East London which traditionally has always been probably the most economically deprived area of London in general and only people there have any real undertanding of it. It started as a way of talk between market traders back in the 1800s! I used to know a cockney many years ago, who would use the rhyming slang and half the time, what he said would go over my head anyway! Sure I'm familiar with some of the obvious sayings, but apart from that not much of a clue really. Also the areas of East London where cockneys dwelt, has now largely been taken over by asian immigrant populations, so I don't know how strong it would be in present day. Also most people of cockney origin, have moved further eastwards to the fringes of east London and Essex as well.

I feel violated.

Anyway, thanks to Neapolitan and Kayleigh for those kind words!

A few quick reflections:

Frownland: A great poster. He knows some excellent music and is clearly well informed about his tastes. Very polite too, I'm looking forward to some more of his posts.

Burning Down: I've really enjoyed your journal, I hope you keep your promise and put some more stuff in there - maybe a vid of you playing Heliotroupe Bouquet? We'd all like to hear it!
Despite that, I know almost nothing about you at all!

mankycaaant: Well, he has the best username around for a start. One of my favourite posters around here, very matter-of-fact and makes his points very bluntly. Also very entertaining and you've made me chuckle many a time.

That is not happening. Okay, maybe in a few months time when I can get past the first two bars!

Nobody knows anything about me, or very little at least. The problem is, I don't really know what you want to know about me :(

I hate the administrator. Fight the power.

Frownland 02-07-2012 09:57 PM

I've got to say, Poor Old Pro is growing on me. At the very start he didn't appeal to me, but then he won my heart with his psychadellic thread and he's such a nice guy. I know the year is short, but I think that we've found the best new member of 2012.

Howard the Duck 02-08-2012 12:07 AM

he just slipped my mind

I agree. I don't know why people have a problem with him.

Freebase Dali 02-08-2012 05:21 PM

I don't have a problem with Il Duce either. (yes, I'm going to keep calling him that).

I see now, though, that some newer members maybe tend to idolize the first person they see in a new forum with any regularity regardless of what they're actually posting. Hmm.. seems like a fun experiment to try. I wonder if I can get a noob to love me by constantly replying to him/her with "True!" and nothing more.

Janszoon 02-08-2012 05:27 PM

blastingas10 02-08-2012 05:38 PM

I like Duce because we share some musical interests, and from what I've seen, he's a nice guy. He seems to avoid confrontation, he's not a bully or an ass, and even when someone says something to him that is kind of rude, he ignores it and doesn't get into an argument.
