I see what you guys are saying about women who call themselves nerds, but I for one consider myself a nerd for my isolated interests. I'm not set out to prove anything to anyone and don't tend to shout it from the roof tops to receive social acceptance. I think I mentioned it once or twice on here but tend to keep it to myself. My favourite things to obsess over is X-Files, Star Wars, Star Trek (still getting through the whole load of series though but love it to bits so far), Java, building phone/tablet apps, knitting, learning everything I can about drugs and what they do, alien and paranormal theories, documentaries, etc.

i wasn't trying to say anything against female nerds in my post.
just pointing out that nerds in general aren't always that smart. really it's my fault for being lazy and accepting the stereotype without question |
