Thanks. I don't see them as arguments though. I just see them as stating my opinion and majority of the time because it is different or the opposite of others. People feel the need to start being nasty because I don't agree with their opinion so I don't back down or they start being sarcastic and snarky for no reason.

Thanks for the mention and you've grown on me as well. TBH when you first came back I wasn't feeling your attitude about certain things and how pretentious you came off. I'm able to overlook it now and don't care as much.

Understandable. I'm not afraid to admit that I'm extremely passionate about the things I argue about on here and that I can get a little over-the-top at times

I agree with all of this

Ftd - inane sports poster who derails arguments repeatedly. Reminds me of herm in that sense without the wamnabe special edgy hardcore unique snowflake qualities

Batlord - I'm usually online when it hsppebs but batty will get on and post to like 10 threads in a row with a bunch of funny one liners and zingers

Rez- should break from oiling busty cubans to post ob mb again

Seq - dude gets too down on himself

Dj - priv troll but he gets it. He understands the value of humor abd settin up others

Tristesse 02-21-2014 10:24 AM

Pretty much all of you seem like top guys/gals, and I'd say you are the best help for dealing with my teenage insecurities, you've got just the right mixture of banter, good advice and quality musical taste.

I'm coming to the conclusion that perhaps you aren't being as confrontational as you seem to be when you make a post disagreeing with someone. But you do come off as confrontational a lot of the time. Maybe you don't see it, but that's why people get sarcastic and snarky.

Of course that makes complete sense to throw oil on the fire when you see it.

What is wrong with the people in the dislike list? Its a bit weird that you are putting people in lists with mo explanation. I really like most people here, it takes time to get to know people. Being so quick to kidge people will not make your experience here nice.

Apparently trying to engage him in a friendly discussion about music earned me mine since that's the only interaction I've had with him recently.

My dislike of realtalk and FtD are pretty well documented in several threads here, so I didn't think that needed expanded upon really.

But please, go on and tell me about how my experience here won't be nice when I've already been here several years. I've been here a while and seen enough posts to make my judgments about the people I want to make judgments on.

butthead aka 216 02-25-2014 09:30 PM

mostly the only ppl i dislike are gb cause he huffs farts while sippin coffee, herm for who she is and ftd cause i find all of her opinions absurd and just generally an unreasonable person. reminds me of crzyvegn in some ways actually

ive enjoyed talkin with moss in plug and he has a differnet music taste but introduced me to some cool tunes i stole in plug

i generally enjoy all the usual sports posters since they keep things lively.

and also all the emo guys like briks, manky, crowquil, charlemagne, etc. also i like whateverdude tho we have a lot of differences but i think we are more similar than we both imagine. also bob seems cool and i enoy readin his posts when i run across them

Yeah same, I'm quite happy staying neutral so I have been trying my best to be as average as possible.

YorkeDaddy 02-26-2014 05:42 AM

My dislike list is composed of people that either A: have no redeemable qualities or opinions to add to this forum whatsoever (realtalk, Forward to Death), or B: simply rub me the wrong way with extremely different personalities (Paul, Janszoon). The only two that should feel completely insulted are the former, because I can at least say that Janszoon and Paul are intelligent members that contribute to this place.

RoxyRollah 02-26-2014 06:49 AM

Jeez man, you are entitled to your opinions, and it doesn't make them wrong because indeed they are your own, but both Paul and Jansz are some of the sweetest people...Paul I can say for sure.... Janszoon I only know from my interactions with in passing, but still a sweetie pie none the less... You know some of the best friendships are born out of intolerance of another person, until you really get to know them... I am just saying...Maybe try a different perspective when looking at them next time you interact with them, you might actually like them ;)

She's doing it to me again, and me only after recovering from sickness.... (runs sweaty finger inside collar) ---- you little tease you! Next you'll be offering to kidge me too! :shycouch: (I know, I know! "j,u" so close to "k,i" on the keypad and you're using your phone, but you just invented a new word, you know...) ;)

To be serious for a moment, and while I respect everyone's right to like or dislike who they want to, I have never ever met a single person that had anything bad to say about Jansz, so would like to ask if possible if YorkeDaddy could elaborate on why he's now on the "dislike" list? I know you don't have to explain, but it seems very unjustified and I know you're an intelligent guy, so I wonder is it possible he did something to offend you without realising it?

I'm also not sure why Forward to Death is getting such stick? I have little to no interaction with her but I have not heard her getting into fights with people, talking crap or going out of her way to be awkward or abrasive. Seems ok to me. Still as they say that's all in the eye of the one what beholds. But I do see a few people ragging on her and I start to wonder why?

I agree with Jess though (hold the front page!) that if you say you don't like people (or do, but mostly the former) they deserve some sort of basic explanation as to why. I know if someone came on here and said they disliked me I'd want to know what I had done to earn that dislike --- other than, as butthead says, swimmin' in a sea of glory...

I know you are going to feel like I'm having a go at you but I just wanted to respond to a few things. This is a public forum.

Jans rubs people the wrong way and it doesn't need explaining at all whatsoever. There was a point in time when I didn't care for Jans much either but he's on my neutral list now.

You don't hang around the sports section for american sports so you haven't seen the arguments that Forward to Death has gotten into and why people feel the way they do about her. It's all self explainitory in that section of the forum that you don't really frequent unless it's the soccer thread. Ooops footy whatever yous call it.

You can irrationally or rationally hate someone and you don't owe them any explanation as to why you feel that way. You just do and that's the end of it.

Well, maybe not any now, with the possible exceptions of YorkeDaddy. But I remember a few (maybe just two) posters who posted in this thread about their disagreements with Janszoon. They since then left.

I think for people to really enjoy this thread you have to pick up on the little things like Trollheart/djchameleon point/counterpoint relationship and the occasional Urbanzingers.

I'd like to participate in this, but why bitch & moan about people I've never had the opportunity to meet in person anyway? Unless one of my reviews really hurt somebody's feelings, I don't see how I'd be on anyone's list whether for good or ill. :D

It's always interesting to see people rip into eachother around here though. I'd suggest hopping on a TotalGym or maybe a few workout routines to iron out any forum-induced stress some of you may be carrying around.
