I turned 40 this week. You're young as shit. By inexperienced I meant in life, so just keep your mind open and keep it moving, you'll definitely get there if you try. Don't ever assume you know everything and do keep building on your knowledge. Your mind will only get better if you let it.

You too Big3.

RoxyRollah and Briks were the first people to accept me as part of the crowd back in February/March, and they're two big reasons why I returned. Both are great people who I'd be happy to meet in real life.

I always enjoy discussing and debating music with Frownland. He makes me reexamine my perception of music. Plus, I know that he's not going to throw a hissy fit, and he concedes a point when it's made.

Ki and ladyislingering: both awesome, laid back folks with great senses of humour. They're usually online in the evenings at the same time as me, and I love going back and forth with either of them in the Lounge or the Shoutbox. If I plugged with LiL, I'm sure I'd like every song she played.

Psy-Fi, DriveYourCarDownToTheSea, and Lisnaholic have all helped me greatly in my exploration of folk and psych. If I see one of them is the last poster in a thread, it always gets a click.

I get the impression that behind the diabetic toes and dick jokes, The Batlord is actually a damned good guy with quite a bit of depth. Dude knows his stuff.

DwnWthVwls and WhateverDude are two cool fellows who I always enjoy talking to in The Lounge, especially now that WD has cut down on his drinking. Not sure what they're into musically, but I'm confident that will come.

Words do not exist to describe Neapolitan. The guy is amazing. Hilarious, friendly, stays out of forum politics, and has bitchin' taste to boot.

Mondo Bungle has given me a ton of great psych recommendations, and plugging with him is always a unique experience.

misspoptart, Blarobbarg, Ninetales, Justthefacts, Wpnfire, and bob. are great people who I'm excited to interact with more in the future.

On the rare occasion that my paths cross with Mojo and wolverinewolfweiselpigeon, I'm always struck by their eloquence and down-to-earthness.

I've always looked up to James, since he joined the forum as a teenager. I enjoy everything he posts, and I've noticed similarities in our writing style. Very cool guy.

Trollheart has been a huge help to me since I signed up. I read all his journals. His over-the-top dad humour is self-mockingly hilarious. Awesome guy and the heart of MB.

My most embarrassing moment on MB came when I thought Engine was a train nerd and messaged him a technical question. I still blush when I think about it. Thankfully, he's cool enough to forget about it.

Chula Vista, grindy, JustinJJustin, and Machine are more recent additions to the community who have gained my respect.

I often wonder if Josef K is really fourteen.

My tastes don't overlap much with Carpe Mortem, but I think she's a great gal. Wish she posted more.

There was a time after the Grammar Nazi incident when mutual dislike existed between TheBig3 and myself. I have no idea what he thinks of me now, but I'm of the opinion that he's got great taste, and I enjoy his humour and rants.

Goofle is a wealth of music knowledge. I could ask him for a recommendation, and he could name ten bands that fit the bill. Respect.

I honestly have no idea what music Vanilla likes, but she's a great mod and very likable. More respect.

Janszoon is just an awesome guy who I know I can go to if I have a question or concern. Like Goofle, he's got incredibly diverse taste. One of Music Banter's writers as well.

At first, I disliked Urban Hat€Monger ?. I labelled him as condescending and overly critical. Now I've come to realize that he's a great mod and actually a pretty cool guy.

I can honestly say that I don't dislike anybody currently. The last 800 posts have been fun.
Wow, when did the Spill Your Guts thread turned into the Diarrhea of the Mouth thread? Pet_Sounds made this old-fashion SYG post like 13 pages back, and I almost missed it.

@Pet_Sounds thanks that was cool of you.

Neapolitan: My dude in plug, but I wish he contributed a bit more on the forums in regards to recs. still, love the rare journal posts.

Black Francis: I was going to vote for you as our "Most improved member" but then I saw you joined quite a while ago, and I didn't want to come across as condescending. But other people have done it anyway and I think it's fair.

Chula: It's great to see new members fitting in so well, but I think sometimes you are a little too open about your life and others. It probably does stem from how well you've fit in, though.

WWWP: You seem to be around a little more lately which is great. Plug more too if you get the chance.

LiL: I think you can be a little harsh/straight forward with members sometimes, but that doesn't necessarily mean I disagree with everything you say. Very intelligent and witty.

I realise you're all moving away from/shutting down this topic, and that's fine by me, but take into account I've only just woken up here in Ireland and read the replies, and I feel I need to make my final thoughts on this before we end it. So apologies if I'm opening a scabbing wound but some of the posts have really annoyed me. Therefore:

This is pure bull. Every pet I have ever owned since I was small has got total love and a great life, and when they died were treated with respect. I know people who get a dog for instance, stick it out the garden and never take it for walks or give it any attention. I know people who put dogs in sheds. I know people who malnourish their pets. How dare you intimate I'm not a better pet owner than some, or that some people can not be more attuned to owning a pet? There is a huge, huge difference between someone who buys a pet for the novelty and then when the novelty wears off, dumps it, either literally or just leaves it to its own devices, and someone for whom a pet becomes very much a treasured part of the family.

They would if they could stay awake long enough! Anyway, cats need us for affection and playing and things. And to open doors. And tins. You ever seen a cat try to use a can opener? Pathetic.

Yeah but you're still saying wasted. It wasn't wasted if it had the potential to have helped ease the cat's suffering, and that's what you're missing.

I think that's been covered, but it seems JWB did not want to "waste" the money to try to see if the cat could be helped; he'd rather keep his thirty-odd bucks even if it would have been a possibility that the cat might have had a chance.

Depends of course on how you use it. "**** you Engine " would not get you banned but **** you Engine! You're a stupid **** who doesn't know anything and I hate you" er, would... it's all in the execution and the meaning.

I've nothing specifically against JWB but once someone's, if not cruelty then apathy towards animals becomes known to me, I no longer want to converse with them. So I won't be too interested in anything he says from now on, now that I know what sort of a person he is. You cross that line with me, there's no way back.
