So my final say on the Freebase thing. I'm honestly surprised people are getting as uptight over it as they seem to be. The thread is for spilling your guts about a member, which means you express your opinion about them. I'm also surprised that his post is the only one being targeted when if you look back to the beginning, there were far worse posts made. Just let it go.

I think the comments were more than sharing an opinion. They came across as a very mean spirited(not to mention ignorant and offensive) attempt to put a few member here on a stand and ridicule them.

Seriously? The thread is called "what you really think about MB members". How is it not expected that people will take that and use it to bring down other members?

What a shitshow. My feelings were hurt and I apologize for reacting the way I did. I've just been told I look like a dude seemingly nonstop on here and irl since buzzing my hair and I went from really liking my new hairstyle to wearing a beanie every day in real life because I'm now so self conscious about it. In retrospect I should have sent FD a pm and dealt with my hurt feelings privately.

That's not to say that I don't still stand by the points I made, though, and I still appreciate those of you who came to my defense as it were. But let's move on.

I think there are bunch of people who wish that didn't happen - having your feelings hurt.

I'll drop it, but please don't ever apologize for expressing your opinion. I think you handled it very nicely and maturely by not attacking back. I hope you know I was defending the thread and not what Freebase said about anyone. I won't say another word

Let me preface this, first of all, with an apology. I didn't set out to offend everyone. I set out to say what I've always wanted to say for a very long time. Mainly the Vanilla thing. The rest was filler.

I don't know if it's this place in particular, or just people in general, but there are people here that will only let others get away with the truth if it hurts someone they don't care about. In all my time here, I've seen this hypocritical behavior many times and the truth of the matter is that, had I targeted people who were not in the masses' sphere of relevance, my post would probably not have ruffled too many feathers. With the exception of Trollheart's, because I believe he's a stand-up guy that would fight for anyone no matter how popular they are here.

With that said, I don't mind being made a villain to highlight a problem. So if the problem is the nature of the thread, we can talk about that. If the issue is tact, we can certainly talk about that too. However, if we decide we need to censor ourselves in this thread to preserve each other's fragile egos, then perhaps this thread is pointless.

I leave it to you.
