cLOUDDEAD are a "them" not a "he", and their music is at least pretty unique sounding for hip hop, whether you like them or not.

I really can't say I understand the description of Tyler as "gritty". He's about as gritty as study hall.

If there is one thing that really can't be missed, it's the grittiness. Practically every line these guys spit could offend someone. Earl talks about stabbing some girls vagina with some "glass and ****". Damn dude, that's really hard to miss.

PS i've never seen someone get raped in a study hall.

You seem very hung up on the lyrics. To make you happy, I'll stop focusing on the music and rapping for a minute and talk about them: Lyrics which attempt to offend with violent content are hardly a new thing in hip hop. Coming from these two guys it's not gritty, it's just dull and redundant. They don't even do it in an interesting way.

True, but unique doesn't necessarily translate to good. Dalek are quite unique and also quite good. cLOUDDEAD are only the prior.

You're right, but it has a lot better chance of translating to good than "not unique" does. And I think the effort of trying to do something different is commendable if nothing else.

Well, I like Dalek a lot more than cLOUDDEAD too, but I still think cLOUDDEAD are worth your time. What have you heard by them?

Well I listened to Ten, wasn't very fond of some of the tracks, like Rifle Eyes, etc. Not too sure if they're my kind of thing.

Well maybe not. That's the only album I have by them but I like it. "Velvet Ant" and "Physics of a Unicycle" are probably my favorite tracks.

Edit: You know what's really funny? I think you and I tend to structure our sentences very similarly or something. I keep realizing as I'm replying to your posts that I'm starting them with the same words as you. Anyway, just a weird observation.
