sorry mate but dubstep was invented in Croydon, London.

The sound has branched out into many different interpretations since it's inception (the Bristol scene being a prevalent cerebral trendsetter), and that includes your crass Americanizations unfortunately. (Not that North America doesn't have it's good producers)
