I enjoy Autechre. Sometimes they can be cold and barren, and at other times, they have a fairly warm sound. Get Chiastic Slide.

That'll be a good show. I saw Holy F'uck supporting Deerhoof last year, they were absolutely fantastic live and so I checked their record out and yeah...really good band. A Place to Bury Strangers are also sweet, although they certainly do borrow A LOT of influence from The Jesus and MAry Chain's Psychocandy. But together that'll be a brilliant show.

yep Autechre is a good shout.

Chiastic Slide is a good start, but then so is Amber or LP5 or Tri-Repetae (sp?). Autechre is the ****ing bomb.
