Favourite Techno songs

The only techno song I've ever heard that made it big was Sandstorm. Other than that, I've heard some other techno songs, but nothing stands out in my memory, nor could I name anything else specifically.

What are your favourite techno songs?

TheCamster 01-30-2004 09:11 AM

I like DJ Sammy's Heaven and a few of the Alice Deejay songs. Also Daft Punk tends to kick ass.

devil-fire 01-30-2004 11:57 AM

i think crystal method has a few good ones we have probly all herd on movies, the blood rave song from blade for example, romeo must die had a tune or 2 by method, gone in 60 seconds did too. the intro of replacment killers had the song keep hope alive by crystal method.

ill try to find the names of more popular movies with songs by crystal method

my personal favourite techno song is renegade sound wave by leftfield, i love every beat in that tune

Xarius 01-30-2004 10:41 PM

which one was in gone in 60 seconds? thats a great movie.

Meghan 01-31-2004 12:29 AM

"Losing me edge" by LCD Soundsytem. Just great.

its 'busy child', close to the start when they have to flee the warehouse as the cops are coming in

Xarius 01-31-2004 09:18 AM

when Kip loses all their stolen cars?

devil-fire 01-31-2004 10:07 AM

yep, thats the one, right after the older guy sez "now you've gone and done it" and start running, thats busy child by crystal method

and i think it was 'vapor trail' that was in romeo must die, it was durring a motorcycle chase or right after when everyone was kung fu fighting

Neon-Stage 02-12-2004 02:12 PM

Blood Rave is a pretty bad @ss song.
Also, Red Tape by Agent Provocateur. its the song that used to be on the ads for Underworld with the sort of industrial feel.

shadowsniper 05-24-2004 10:32 PM

anyone know what song is in the movie charlies angles (the first one), before the helicopter scene. Where the chick grabs the axe and they start fighting. Shes on the cell phone and the large bell falls at one point. It had a sweet beat to it. It wasnt techno I think, but still sounded nice. I like D-Devils though, Paul Oakenfold is nice, the Beethoven remix is good, Evanescense (techno) is good, hm, Dj Mystic, Hallucinogen, One Ton, Lio Aka Vaiio, Doves (not techno, but good), Safri Duo, Dj Mangoo, Darude is awesome!!!

Eltiraaz 05-25-2004 03:09 PM

Safri Duo are awesome.

Although I feel like I'm losing touch with electronic. Too Much time spent on my crazy rock n' roll. :P

shadowsniper 05-27-2004 02:37 AM

what rock n'roll are u relating to?

Eltiraaz 05-27-2004 02:12 PM

Many a rock n' roll my friend. However we wont deviate from the topic at hand, which is electronica.

true. Rock n' roll just sounded 80's and I dont like that type that much. Anyways, check out the band I told you about in the other thread; D-Devils.

Eltiraaz 05-28-2004 05:09 PM

I like all rock n'roll from any decade, the eighties werent great with all their hair metal bands (poison), but hey they had guns n'roses??

I didnt like the screaming or singing of the time, I prefer the growling of modern music.

gregb 05-28-2004 08:38 PM

Rob Dougan - Furious Angels, Cheateu
Orbital - Blue Illusion, Technological Park, Halcyon & On & On

Eltiraaz 05-29-2004 09:20 AM

If you like Daft punk peradventure you will relish the fine genius of Halducil's Dragostea Din Tel: a masterful and exuberant piece in this very old, and so not happening forum. why do you people listen to our music? Can you not instead retreat into your eddie Bauer, and other drab and dull straight sanctuaries and cease stealling from our culture? I thought letting you see us in Queer Eye for a Straight Guy was enought, but your insatibale thirst for our exquisitely attuned tastes compels you to be poseurs.

Eltiraaz 07-23-2004 06:35 PM

Do you want to explain what you meant by that. :\

I am the Moderator of this "very old, and so not happening" forum....

thederacinator 07-24-2004 05:49 PM

I'll explain... he's ***, and he thinks that everyone who listens to electronica is stealing from his culture, as if electronica was founded by homosexuals. He really does believe it.
22, don't be stupid...

Eltiraaz 07-25-2004 12:11 PM

Eletronica was most certainly NOT founded be homosexuals, and if you believe that to be true, then you are certainly the most ignorant human being I have ever come across.
