I never explored trip-hop because the name of the genre just seemed like it would just be one of those "over the top" genre, but now that I've actually looked into it I can see that the name is very misleading. Thanks for this thread, I'm really enjoying all the beats posted. (:

Just wondering if anyone else has checked out this artist yet? I know Lee has because he commented on them in the 'last album you downloaded' tread. I cannot get enough of this song, just so perfect, so relaxing, so beautiful, and just so damn good.

she collaborates a lot with Tricky, doing vocals on Vulnerable and Blowback plus a few other scattered tracks.

she's got an album and an ep, both excellent. i also found 8 more tracks on a massive collection of unreleased Tricky stuff that's floating around, though the quality isn't so hot.

but yeah, she's one of my favorite voices in trip hop :D

Awesome stuff! Most of songs on their myspace are really dark and sick.

I recommend Boards of Canada, they're pretty smooth. There is also DJ Shadow, but that's more turntablism. It definitely has that trip hop feel to it i think. but yea, there's a bunch of good stuff out there..

Lushlife by Bowery Electric has some damn fine spacey tracks on it.
