The Chemical Brothers

who in hrr thinks that push the button is the best dance album of the year and GALVANISE is the best dance song fo the year ( along with Daft Punk is playing at my house )....the fu*cking album is awsome!!!...non stop party motherfu*cker!!...people still trip out when they hear galvanise or belive in the clubs!!!!they sure know how to make you move man!!it'a all about the BEAT!

Trauma 05-07-2005 02:07 PM

I concur.
Seeing as how Decadence was released 2004? then The Push Button I feel is the best dance album as of yet in 2005.

AprilMay 05-07-2005 03:01 PM

Decandence was the most excellent album. I do quite like Chemical Brothers and LCD Soundsystem, though I have not purchased any dance albums this year.

Imonlydancing 05-07-2005 03:16 PM

nor have i, purchased any dance albums that is, i liked push the button and daft punk is playing at my house....(my house) my mate sent me some 'felix da housecat' which i can say, i wasnt toooo fond of.

Sneer 05-07-2005 07:10 PM

i purchased the chemical brothers greatest hits so far and it was ****ing brilliant. galvanise the song is class, havent heard the album. great band though in my opinion.

AprilMay 05-08-2005 02:33 AM

I want to get the Basement Jaxx singles collection. Does anyone know if it is any good?

adidasss 05-08-2005 04:02 AM

people, you seriously need to buy push the button, it's the only album of theirs i have ( i've downloaded others songs ( which to me are their best work) like block rockin beats, denmark, setting sun ( oh man is that a bombass song or what!!),let forever be,private psychedelic reel but i didn't feel like buying the other albums )...these people have the badest beats on the planet!!and star guitar is an amaizing "travel" song ( it's great to listen to it when you're traveling, that's why the video was so perfect!)

God Sake, The chemical brothers are so lame, that galvanize is so irritating it made me want to slit my throat, and believe was almost as bad, dance pish, its what chavs listen to, are you a chav by chance?

Sneer 05-08-2005 05:26 AM

oh good lord, your one of those annoying twats who stereotypes types of music to a certain group of people. the chemical brothers pioneered dance-rock in the 90s and were one of the most important bands of the decade. theres one thing more annoying then chavs- and thats people like you.

........no it isnt......Chav music is more associated (notice more associated, not directly defined as what they listen to) with the likes of 50 Monkey Cent and more garage-inclined stylings. Not dance music at all..... God if you're going to comment on genre at least understand it.

what the f*uck is a chav?...never heard that word before, but then again i'm completely americanized (i blame the tv), and have a lot less contact with the british culture ( all we get are those detective series, like inspector frost, midsummer murders, silent witness and others, and that annoying show spooks ,oh yeah and the brilliant "the office")

Crudblud89 05-08-2005 09:12 AM

Chavs are basically the current ruling social class of britain, suffice it to say that they are all retards and deserve to be shot repeatedly. Also i agree that you cannot simply tape a genre to one type of person. I like all sorts of music, dance is one of my favourite genres, does that make me a chav?

Trauma 05-08-2005 11:09 AM

I get this image of a person wearing a fleece sweater with a collar shirt playing polo with his rich uncle for some reason when I read your explanation

ArtistInTheAmbulance 05-08-2005 11:15 AM

www.chavscum.com

I cant believe the amount of times Ive had to lower myself to giving out this link...

But anyways, I like the Chemical Brothers... Sometimes. I definately have to be in the right mood to listen to them.

AprilMay 05-08-2005 11:19 AM

^A chav is the opposite they are usually poor and live in council housing (sorry about the sterotype) and they like to generally abuse the public includding gobbing on them (that happened to me). They also call anyone who loooks different to them a 'feckin' goff'. Check out www.chavscum.co.uk and they have many pictures of chavs and a guide on how to spot chavs, just incase you ever come to the UK.

AprilMay 05-08-2005 11:20 AM

^Sorry AITA i didn't realise that you had done that

Trauma 05-08-2005 11:22 AM

Ohhhh the underclass, I suppose there would be a lot of "chavs" here then...

adidasss 05-08-2005 02:06 PM

wow...what a web page!!i think in america chavs would be called white trash?
wow, someone really hates them don't they...

ArtistInTheAmbulance 05-08-2005 02:07 PM

Either that or someone has too much spare time on their hands

Trauma 05-08-2005 02:07 PM

Either that or wiggers I presume.

Not true, there are some things I can listen to without feeling like it and still really enjoy it.

Trauma 05-08-2005 02:26 PM

You wouldn't believe how many wiggers live around here (Detroit/Ann Arbor)
Well actually lol you might believe it.
It's ****ing horrible.
Like 8 Mile gone all wrong.

Crudblud89 05-09-2005 03:24 PM

As long as they they don't go araund saying "nizzle" or indeed "wizzle", then I'd say you were well off. I appear to be living in a society populated not by people but by TN hats and Helly Hansen coats.

iceman1125v 06-03-2005 02:20 PM

out of control is one of their best!

MuZiKaL 10-04-2007 07:29 PM

Chemical Brothers

Anyone heard of them?

I love the song Galvanize. The music video is pretty cool. I think I heard about them on some radio station a while back.

jackhammer 10-05-2007 12:22 PM

No we have never heard of them. This thread was started in the hope that one day a band would form, call themselves CHEMICAL BROTHERS and record some classic dance toons. FFS.

cardboard adolescent 10-05-2007 12:26 PM

Their more psychedelic stuff is great. I love Let Forever Be... such a classic song.

You need to listen to the mighty UNDERWORLD. A band that easily transcends a lazy dance band tag based upon their (in)famous Born Slippy.

=ladyface= 10-07-2007 04:05 PM

I never realised that people considered The Chemical Brothers to be 'techno'. That's an eye-opener.

I am loving The Salmon Dance at the moment.

O'Bannion 11-12-2007 03:52 PM

My favorite dance group ever. Bar none.

Surrender blows my mind every time I listen to it.

joyboyo53 11-12-2007 04:09 PM

any uploads by chance?

As famous as that song is, I think Cowgirl blows it out of the water. As does the live version of Juanita/Kiteless. IMO.

My new favourite poster <3.

DragHustler 09-17-2008 02:46 PM

The chemical brothers have so many tracks it's difficult to keep track, but I know I enjoy quite few of them. ;p

Doni 12-29-2008 03:26 PM

wasnt there a song by Mr Oizo called "Daft Punk is playing at my house"?

simplephysics 12-29-2008 03:28 PM
