Default History of Electronic Music

I find that one of the problems in this forum is that people just dont know about electronica, its roots, its innovations, its subgenres. So I'm going to put up some links for people who are interested about learning something about electronica. Please, check these out. One of the best ways to expand your mind, and your musical understanding is to learn about all types of music. Electronic music has alot to learn about trust.

The various sub-genres of Electronic and their histories

This site further breaks down electronica, gives some audio samples.

I'll put up some more when I have time, until then you people put up your favorite electronic music sites.

I applaud your educational efforts, sir. I tried to educate the masses over in the Emo forum regarding their genre's history and heritage, but I rather think that I failed. (And your links are excellent).

For me, electronica has the most fascinating history of any genre. One of my favourite stories is that of William Du Bois Duddell and the "singing arc". Anyone else come across him?

Best wishes, Charley
