Default Trying to make a hobby

I am starting to try and teach myself how to produce any edm music. I would like some input and any helpful information/tips.

This is what I have so far. Not great, I know, but just trying to make a hobby for myself.

Thank you for your time!

mmmh well, first you should learn about tempo and time signatures.
Second get a midi keyboard and a Digital Audio Workstation for your computer.
Even if it has a lot of limitations,Reason by Propellerhead is the most user friendly Daw on the market,so it could be a nice place to start.

I have a new hobby where I substitute toilet paper for curtains. House stinks of sh*t now but it keeps people from visiting. Every cloud...

I started making music with a laptop after learning the viola as a kid. If I was to give a newbie any advice it would be 1. To learn how to play the keyboard/piano well in conjunction with your journey into EDM. 2. If you can find the time learn how to DJ too. They are interlinked so closely. 3. Buy a good quality audio interface. I like the Focusrite Saffire Pro's. 4. Make sure you understand the structure of music. Then do what the hell you want with it!

Default Hobby

Hey,

If you're looking for a great hobby, EDM is def perfect. You don't have to worry about learning an actual instrument (sorry all instrumental EDM producers who actually record their own instruments), but you can still produce beats that are enjoyable. I recommend learning an instrument though, it makes the production a lot easier and it can even help you turn that hobby into a career. I can play Guitar, piano, drums, bass. etc. played in a lot of rock bands and now Im producing EDM as a hobby.
Cheers
