exactly, the situation has been like this for the past, what, 60, 70, 80 years? and neither side is any closer to coming to a conclusion. If anything, my opinion is that they came closest to reaching a "happy" middle right when the jews first declared statehood. Of course, after the war of independance, the situation has become so volatile and muddled that it's virtually impossible to determine who has more of a claim to the land. Of course the obvious solution would be to split it, but there's such a long history in the area that now, no matter how the country were split, both sides would lose areas that they desperately want to hang on to. funny thing, we havent even BEGUN to touch on the religious motives from either side for keeping territory.

ok, because to tell you the truth , you seem to be taking a pro-jewish stance on the matter.....i for one, am on the side of the palestinians, regardless of the fact that i highly respect the jewish nation for everything they have created and their overall capabilities.....i'm very much pissed off that everyone is turning a blind eye to what the jews are doing....they're getting away with the most blatant violations of international law and they suffer no cosequences, because their big brother is protecting them.....and i'm especially pissed of because the croats have been virtually turned into the agressors by the international crimes tribunal when all we were doing was fighting a defensive war, but of course, you won't see any jews or americans in Hague.....

no, i actually agree with you. at THIS time, the jews are blatantly breaking international law, and yes, everyone is turning a blind eye towards it. however, i was talking about the time immediately after the second world war, when the situation was COMPLETELY different.

i would like to see how you would react if brittain was overrun by immigrants claming it was their land leaving you a minority in your own country.....i think you'd just go with it ey?

you know what i'd do if i had no money and was fighting a loosing battle against a much more powerful enemy with powerful protectors?

agreed, thats one of the aspects that pretty much impossible to come to an agreement over. Bothe sides have entirely equal claim to the area if you look at it from a purely religious standpoint.

you act as though the jewish holocaust refugees were forcing the arabs out of their homes. They were being integrated into ALREADY EXISTING jewish settlements. The arabs protested mainly out of a feeling of anti-semetism.

Of all the places in the world, why do the most volatile religions both have to claim the same strip of desert? It was always going to end in tears. It'll never be solved in our lifetimes, unless Iran gets hold of a nuclear weapon, and then it might all get solved. But not in the right way.

aside from the fact that at certain instances they were doing exactly that ( which i have read in the subjected article ), i wouldn't care if some other nation inhabited the most barron and lifeless areas in croatia, they would have no right to come into my country, my land, and take over....if you understand where i'm coming from...
