I would not be surprised given certain proclivities to passive aggression in the mods, but I'll give the benefit of the doubt and just say they probably don't check the avatar request thread or haven't been around. I'd pm someone who is online instead. I'd wager with mojo since he's mostly benevolent and understanding in my experiences with him.

Let me just put it this way: It is kinda fun not having an avatar. If my new one shows up, it shows up. If it doesn't, it doesn't.
I've belonged to websites and forums for over 10 years now and every single one of them let us change our avatars on our own and whenever we wanted.
Yes, I'm a changeable person, but that is nobody's beeswax.

I don't think I've rated yours yet, let's give it a 7/10. I like the subject, darkness, and composition of the image. The actual art style is something I probably wouldn't buy, otherwise it could be higher.
