Interesting comparison, Nickelback and Three Days Grace. Readers of the Nu Metal thread will remember me comparing Three Days Grace with Staind, but I'll do it now with Nickelback:

I know which one I prefer, but then again: post grunge seems a lot better to me than Nu Metal/Alt metal.

So the deal is, whenever one of us says a particular band lacks merit, you will reluctantly step in and say you like them.

I've never heard of them, and I apologize if I happen to like certain bands. I don't want to seem like a poser by saying I like so-and-so band if I've never actually heard them before, so I state the bands I like, and I'm honest in doing so.

Hey, if it makes you happy, I don't have any right so say that's bad. There's nothing wrong with liking certain music.
Although I warn you that you may be subject to some elitist scoffing at some of your choice of listening.

I really couldn't care what people say about the music I like. Although, at the moment, the music I like may not be very good to some others, but that's the reason I found this site so rewarding. Just looking through the threads and finding so many new bands I've never heard of has opened my eyes to new bands, styles and genres. So ask again in 6 months who I like and the answers may be different.

The bands that I regularly mention or defend are far from my favorite groups, but I still like them nonetheless. My favorite band at the moment is Megadeth.
