How a country is portrayed and how a country is are two different things. It would be in your best interest to find out those differences

Well then why make assumptions? America is portrayed the way in part due to envy, that's why people like to criticise America every time something happense there, because it's the big dog and everyone likes to see that country fall. Just ask Britain

But I suppose that was based on governments of the Allied countries making decisions about when to become involved. In New Zealand everything about the war was dumbed down, so we didn't really no anything that was going on. Basically the troops got signed up, shiped out when we were told to.

You're forgetting that the European allies secured a peace treaty with Germany before the invasion of Poland. Hardly not giving a shit.
A deal that also guaranteed British involvement against Germany should they invade. Also, hardly not giving a shit.

Also, after Europe fell to the Nazi's the British could have sued for peace.
We chose to stand alone and continued to fight...alone.

I'm not disputing what happened in the far east Sam. I'm fully aware of what took place.
I was trying to bring attention to the Soviet contribution to the war. Which in my opinion is sadly overlooked by some countries.
