Tea can indeed contain tannins, but I wouldn't worry about those. The calories idea here seems a little crazy though. I'd say you're only correct about that when people drink their tea with a lot of sugar.

Coke tastes so much better than Pepsi whuch is far too sugary in taste. Coke manages to hide that taste better.

Anyway I drink neither as they are both disgusting both in terms of health and in the morality of the company.

I hate both Coke and Pepsi vehemently. I call any carbonated high fructose syrup beverage "The Drink of the Devil."
