Default When I was a n00b

Let me start this off by saying I HATE terms like noob, newbie, etc. But I thought this would be a fun idea for a game. Just tell a story or quote a post from when you were new (here or to the net in general) and the dumb things you did.

Me, I made this post:

I was making the assertion (incorrectly, of course) that the BAD BRAINS were more influential than The Velvet Underground. Thankfully FaSho was a nice enough guy to realise I was a noob and not chew me out, too much.

Not in my opinion.

Dwell time is probably more of a factor, along with contribution and acceptance.
If one could get away with it, one could make 200 posts consisting of the word "fart", and still be a noob.

I really cant get my head around why so many people like them, theyre music is nothing short of uninspiring rubbish.

Ha, this website has always had Stones and Beatles fans pissing eachother off. Managing to piss off both at the same time was a pretty bold move, I think.

If you're posting in the music forums make sure to be thoughtful and expressive, if you're posting in the lounge ask yourself "is this something that adds to the conversation?" It's important to remember that a lot of people use each thread. You're probably not as funny or clever as you think, I know I'm not.
