I see it all the time and it doesn't make sense to me. I know what OCD is, but the way people say it is like saying "I'm AIDS".

Its just a phrase man..... that i think just comes about out of the ease of use.

I guess the proper way would be "I have OCD".

Damn "im aids" is a little harsh but i guess it works. I would have went with '"im ADD" for a proper comparison. I hear "IM ADD" to much.

lol.. sorry about that. I went with that comparison to emphasize my confusion in terms that would be apparent to those who aren't as confused about it as I am.
(I didn't mean it to be derogatory to anyone here)

I guess I can see it coming from a necessity of efficiency where you may not have any other alternative to using a noun as an adjective.
I just figured it started from some illiterate ignoramus and spread enough until it seemed normal. Now that I look at it, I don't see how else you can say "I'm obsessive"...
