Default What does your desktop say about you?

What does your desktop say about you? - 4

Even icons on each side (even though that pic is not uniform enough for me!). I certainly agree with the organised bit (generally).

I guess I'm 10

I have absolutely no icons on either one of my desktop screens (dual monitors), and instead, I have a dock bar (rocket dock) containing like-theme (all out of the graphite icon pack) folders for Programs, Music, Pics, Movies, all 4 of my hard drives, and folders that act as favorites for the internet, like a Musicbanter folder I just click on and it takes me here.
All that is confined in a single expandable bar on the bottom of my top monitor so I can access it even when I have Musicbanter, or porn sites (lawl), maximized on my bottom screen.

I absolutely can't stand desktop clutter. And my wallpaper is a techy-looking metallic design, mirrored on both screens.

It's ultra-minimal and ultra-efficient. Totally devoid of humor or personality. It's as though a sentient robotic being designed it.

I even HAD to get a firefox theme that matched my Windows theme (Zune theme for XP) otherwise my head would have exploded.

Weird thing is, I'm not that organized in other aspects of my life.
I always start out with very organized intentions, but after a period of time everything gets out of place and I'm too lazy to return it back to proper conditions.
But on my computer, I don't even turn my computer off at night without going through and making sure everything is where it's supposed to be.
Weird.

Hmmm, I'm actually a combo of 8 and 10:

What does your desktop say about you? - 10

I'm the escapist in 8, and go to desktop nexus nearly every night to find a new wallpaper...usually something breathtaking or scenic. But I'm also 10 because I have 0 icons on my desktop. Even my Recycle Bin is on the toolbar.

^ I guess you posted yours while I was making mine. But yeah same thing. They say being a 10 means you're organized, but I wouldn't call myself that either. /shrug

Oh god, I would be exactly like this if I had the patience and/or know how about how to set something up like that. I have Object Dock and yet I still end up with icons on my screen. There's also just a bunch of stuff on my computer that I'm kind of afraid to delete but I have no idea what they do.

I guess I'm 3. I have a small-ish collection of icons on my desktop but I try to keep most of my things in folders and such.

I found that if you put a folder on your dock and call it "Temporary" or "Transit", and put in there all the loose stuff from your desktop that you don't know what to do with, it tricks you into thinking you're moving forward with a semblance of organization.
Out of sight, out of mind.

i'm also a combo of 8 and 10...my desktop only has the recycle bin on it and everything else is accessible through the taskbar. my background is simple yet is meant to kinda relieve stress and remind me to chill.

Windows 7 kicks the **** out of XP in so many ways. Just sayin.

As for me, I'd be 3. Thing is though, Exactly where are they pulling these assertions from? I've seen pub graffiti more well referenced than this. Exactly why does my desktop say that about me? How have they determined this?

They havent. They're just making it up as they go along.

BTW, the wallpaper thing? My desktop wallpaper switches automatically every 5 minutes to a different image.
