I think that's only in exceptional cases though... DNA isn't normally generated from RNA, it's the other way around.

Right, I was just offering the random trivia that there is an enzyme which reverses the process.

I'm not sure how to answer the original question, just because it strikes me as vague.

Changes in allele frequencies over time due to natural selection and reproductive success results in the evolution of species?

Haha sorry guys... This was right.

And chill Trollheart... I learned this in my freshman bio course. If it's not general knowledge it should be. Just like the basis of evolution.

No apologies for a lame high school biology education.

Yeah well I didn't finish school. Left at 17 to begin a working life. Not everyone went to college. Just sayin'. As long as someone can get the answers, fine. I just expected more along the lines of "what's the capital of Paris?"

Yer all bleedin' scientists and eggheads, int'cha?

It's okay! Don't worry about it. The central biology dogma and protein synthesis is something that we learn in high school biology class over here (well Canada and US at least), but unless you continued with biology, it's a hard thing to recall. I had to think back all the way to grade 10 bio!

Yeah! Okay then - which French explorer established the first European colony in Canada in 1605?

François l'Cânades.
