You know you liked the Octopus. You know you liked Dirk Diggler's blow dealer as the Octopus.

Also, I always thought it was weird Maguire was even cast as Spiderman at all.
Parker is supposed to be a college student and Maguire was like 32 when he played Spiderman.
He was 26 when they filmed the first movie and he looked much younger than his age.

Not particularly. I don't remember disliking anything in particular about Spider-Man 2, but I actually felt cheated with 3. First and foremost it just kind of blew in general, but then they just crammed one of the most badass villains in comic book history into the last twenty or thirty minutes of the movie and completely trivialized him. He didn't even refer to himself in the third person! How hard is that?! And totally agreed on Topher Grace as Eddie Brock. How can you have Venom be played by Peter Parker's clone? I felt legitimately angry when I walked out of that movie theater.

God that diner scene has to be amongst the worst I've seen in any film.

@The Batlord

Well Sandman was a little badass imo but you're right they shouldn't have mixed Venon in the equation, especially in such a hurried and awful way.

We all know Venom and Carnage are the sh*t, they are beloved villains more so than Sandman or that frickin Lizard doctor, If you're a going to make a spider man, Focus on the good villains and not on the ****ty ones.

Spiderman 1 was great, Willem dafoe nailed the green goblin but James franco taking over? weak.

Spiderman 2 good as well, but again they mixed up villains, but Alfred molina did a good job with Dr. octopus

Spiderman 3 however had the weakest casting, Thomas haden as sandman? ugh, and Topher grace as Venom? you ****tin me?

that movie shoulda flopped more than it did, add to that a horrible story layout and BAM!

they messed up so bad they had to revert teenage spidey again.

But still, ive seen worst superhero movies than spiderman 3.

Spider Man 2 better than 3? First I've actually ever heard that opinion. SM2 has some of the best action sequences I've seen in a superhero movie, especially the scene with the train. Plus Octo's just cooler to me than Sandman and 15 minutes of a complete mockery of the character of Venom.

**** that. Garfield watered down Peter Parker's character to make him appeal to "uncool" people in general but without specifically appealing to any one group and therefore appealing to no one.

This plus he was cool enough for them to give him a skateboarding montage. Wtf was that all about? Since when are skaters uncool?
