Mate, if you're trying to get to 15 posts, lounge posts don't count :)

A good friends wedding is the same day as my anniversary. Already rsvpeed, SO already made plans. What do.

Lets say you celebrate your friends wedding. Are you ready for an impromptu, heat of the moment proposal? I can imagine that happening.

Celebrate the anniversary another day, nobody remembers their actual anniversary correctly anyways. If its a good friend, you being there would mean a lot. You'll get plenty more anniversaries, assumedly.

I don't think he would propose, he's not really that kind of person as far as I'm aware. Carpe, I was thinking along the same lines but this is my first anniversary ever, and I selfishly want to be able to celebrate. I'm not usually sentimental about these things but I feel like I'd regret missing it. My friends are already married, btw, this is just the ceremony for show.

I doubt they would oppose to you bringing him along, right? So, you go and milk the **** out of the fact that it's ALSO your first anniversary. People will love it and it will make you two feel great. Then, eat a free meal, drink some booze, and sneak out to do something special together, dressed in formal wear. Win-Win.

Sounds pretty awesome that you get to have a fun time at a wedding for your anniversary.

You can still make it all about each other, who would complain or even realize? Every wedding I've ever been to the couple says hello and then disappears making their rounds. Around midnight they are drunk on the dance floor and not wanting to make real conversation. Your only obligation is showing up and bringing gifts.

Alright I feel a lot better. Thanks everyone, this is why I come to you with my problems.
