Why are cashews so expensive?

Because they come from a fruit which has a poisonous liquid junk inside of it that was used for transmission oil, but that's was before the synthetic transmission oil, I don't know if they still used it or not. They can't be eaten raw, and you will never see them sold raw. They have to be cooked. Children who picked the nut out of the fruit sometimes have a real bad reaction to it, and their hands swell up the size of a grapefruit. Next time you eat cashews think of the poor Indian workers and what they went through to provide you with cashews the next time you eat them.

You would rather listen to music using headphones or with speakers?

Damn. You know there has to be some people in history who had to find that out the hard way before they knew what the skinny was.

Speakers, hands down. Earphones don't detract from my satisfaction, but I only use them in situations where I'm obviously not at home.

Animals can be observed as "playful" at times. Maybe a bit trollish to each other. Humans contain a sense of humor, which in the animal kingdom seems completely useless and serves no function toward the aspect of survival. The question is, do animals have a sense of humor, and if so, how does it manifest itself, and what is it's purpose toward their existence and/or survival?

GuD 03-19-2017 11:01 PM

I've never seen a crocodile slap its knee and bellow in glee but it seems to me of the animal domking keeping em around is ideal for media entertaining; cat videos and movies like up and finding nem IE.

What's the difference between pottery and poetry?

Frownland 03-19-2017 11:05 PM

Poets require more pot than potters.

What's your favourite part about your job (assuming you have one)?

Obama: braised lamb chops, asparagus, and mushroom pilaf
Trump: cheeseburgers and homemade fries

What is something that you decorate your room with?

Trump would make sure you'd never get hired anywhere if you brought homemade fries.

Getting paid, free beer is nice too. Very relaxed environment.

Do you think freewill truly exists or do you think that everything is reactionary to events and moments that had pushed our decisions?

DwnWthVwls 03-20-2017 09:10 AM

Philosophically speaking no, true free will doesn't exist. I think the closest we get to it is in sociopaths.

What two songs would you like to see in a mashup? (That hasn't already been done ofc)

Frownland 03-20-2017 09:50 AM

I don't really know. It'd be interesting to hear a Beefheart isolated vocals from Cardboard Cutout Sundown or the Host the Ghost the Most Holy-O over some boom bap instrumentals.

Also I wanted to answer Lucem's question with my thought that free will does exist, and the caveat about our minds reacting before we do can be chalked up to sensory delay.

Lock Ness. Bigfoot is just a man in a suit, but Lock Ness is anyone's guess.

Brussels sprouts or asparagus?

Frownland 04-09-2017 10:05 AM

Asparagus by a long shot.

What's the worst physical pain you've felt?

Cuthbert 04-09-2017 10:22 AM

I've never had excruciating pain so maybe a bad stomach or diarrhoea. I think I might have IBS or something as when it's bad it's crouching over a chair wincing and trying to breathe properly. After the first **** and half hour or so I feel better though.

What milk do you drink?

Trollheart 04-15-2017 01:17 PM

Day or night?

The Batlord 04-15-2017 01:24 PM

Night all day long.

Britney Spears or Taylor Swift. Which one would you date? Not just fuck. Date.

Frownland 04-15-2017 07:51 PM

Britney was hotter in her prime but I feel like I could hang out with Swift more easily and she's younger so it would take her longer to realize how manipulative I am.

What's the smallest show (as far as crowd size) you've attended?

Mondo Bungle 04-15-2017 07:53 PM

What's the largest explosion you've witnessed firsthand

Frownland 04-15-2017 08:00 PM

I went to a jeep fest in Ocotillo Wells called Tierra Del Sol and I was less than 100 feet away from their insanely massive fireworks display that rained hellfire all over me and my friends for ten minutes.

What's your favourite kind of fish?

Trollheart 04-16-2017 10:41 AM

The topic of race bores me to tears to be honest. Identity toward heritage and culture is a different story, and a more important story, but pigmentation gets all the glory.

Why don't more famous people post on Music Banter or music sites in general? Surely they enjoy music discussion and music sharing. They're already famous, so they don't need to necessarily be anonymous about it like the plebs.

Frownland 05-02-2017 02:09 PM

Famous people are usually busy/have lives.

Does The Batlord need to reiterate this point in a long-winded way?

I read at least a couple of posts from Gary Holt from Exodus on some thrash forum, but I suspect he was just bored. I think the vocalist from Alestorm is or at least has been somewhat active on the Metal Archives forum (he at least responded like a chill dude to criticism to Alestorm). But yeah, I imagine people who are in bands professionally have lives.

Aux-In 05-02-2017 02:52 PM

Can't even imagine the amount of **** that would be flipped if Tom Waits started posting here.

Some do. On accounts where they don't give their identities away and they also lurk on their own threads.
