Thanks for your critique of my conduct! I'm sure it will prove very useful here on the internet.

Though it is curious to be the only person in this thread deemed worthy of such an epithet

Besides the point though, isn't "hipster" phased out of the current lexicon? While I am aware that such things frequently resurface since time is a wheel, it would seem the term has gone the way of Chuck Norris jokes.
dunno, man, it might be an outdated term

basically what happened was i was calling people like frownland on mb hipsters before it was cool to call people on mb hipsters... and then they all started copying me cause they look up to me so much.

That which you did there; I have witnessed it.

Much like moxie, "hipster" itself seems to date far back before our lifetimes, does it not? I could be wrong but it seems that with every generation it gains a new set of attributes. In my day, "hipsters" were the fellows who sacrificed their virility to what was peculiarly called "girl pants" and sported proto-Bieber haircuts. By this definition, neither of our good friends fit this description very well. It's a slippery term.

dervish sounded like some sorta indian name or some**** to me. i googled it and it means

a member of a Muslim (specifically Sufi) religious order who has taken vows of poverty and austerity. Dervishes first appeared in the 12th century; they were noted for their wild or ecstatic rituals and were known as dancing, whirling, or howling dervishes according to the practice of their order.

i think this guy's got potential

It means beggar, but they started calling those crazy Sufis whirling dervishes because they take lsd and spin around a bunch while wearing bad clothes. So he's either a Sufi (more likely) or a beggar.

Take it from me, they have internet at the library. He could be a beggar.
